About Business Labo

What is Business Labo?

A business-building community. It combines a community for questions and discussion, a marketplace of experts and service providers, a hub of resources and opportunities, and a workspace (Build My Business) that guides you from idea to growth.

Who is it for?

Entrepreneurs with an idea, business owners who want to grow, experts and service providers who help businesses, investors and opportunity providers, and organizations such as incubators, accelerators, NGOs and associations.

Does it cost anything?

Joining and using the community is free. See pricing for what is planned.

Your account

How do I sign up?

Create an account with your email and a password (or Google, where available). We email you a 6-digit code to confirm your address, then a short onboarding helps us personalise your dashboard. Create an account.

I forgot my password

Use reset your password. We email you a 6-digit code; enter it with your new password.

Can I change my email address?

Not from the app yet. Contact us and we will move your account.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account & security. Deleting removes your profile, posts, messages and the businesses you own. It cannot be undone.

Questions & community

What can I post?

Ideas, discussions, requests for feedback or help, showcases, success stories, lessons learned and updates — with photos, video, documents, links and polls.

How do Business Questions work?

Ask a clear question in the right category. Experts and members answer; answers from experts carry an Expert badge. Mark the answer that solved your problem as accepted, and vote for answers that helped.

Who sees what I post?

Posts, questions and answers are public so they can help others. Messages, saved items, journeys and notes are private to you.

Experts & services

How do I become an expert?

Create an expert profile in Settings → Expert profile, choose your areas and add services. Anyone can list expertise; the Verified Expert badge is added only after verification.

How do service requests work?

A member sends a request for one of your services. You accept or decline, and mark it complete when the work is done. The member can then leave a review.

How do payments work?

Prices are shown in Ghana cedis so members know what to expect. Business Labo does not process payments or take commission yet — you agree details and payment directly.

Verification

Badges help members trust who they are dealing with. They are granted by people, after checking evidence — never automatically, and never for payment.

What badges are there?

Verified Expert (for expert profiles), Verified Business and Verified Organization (for business and organization profiles), and Verified Opportunity Provider (for members who post funding, grants, jobs or programmes).

How do I apply?

Open Verification, choose what to verify and explain your credentials: registration numbers, professional memberships, a public link, and optionally a private document. Only you and Business Labo admins can see the document.

How long does it take?

An admin reviews each request by hand. You are notified when it is approved or declined, with a note explaining the decision.

Can a badge be removed?

Yes. Badges can be revoked if the information turns out to be wrong or the account breaks the guidelines.

Community guidelines

Business Labo works because members can trust each other. By joining, you agree to these guidelines.

Be respectful and constructive

Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate, threats or personal attacks.

Be honest

Share accurate information and your real identity. No impersonation, fake reviews or misleading claims about qualifications, results or funding.

No spam or scams

No unsolicited promotion, repeated posting, pyramid schemes, requests for upfront fees for “guaranteed” funding, or suspicious links.

Keep private things private

Don’t share other people’s personal information or private messages without their permission.

Report problems

Use Report on any post, answer, profile, message or listing. Reports are private. Every report reaches a moderator, and content reported by three different members is flagged for priority review.

What happens if someone breaks them?

Moderators can remove content and suspend accounts. Suspended members can still sign in but cannot post, message or interact.

Privacy & safety

Who can read my messages?

Only the people in the conversation. Attachments are private files that only participants can open.

Can I block someone?

Yes — from their profile or a conversation. Blocked members can’t message you. You can unblock them in Settings → Privacy & blocking.

Is my email shown to others?

No. Your email is never shown on your profile.
